Nick Saban is hot on the recruiting trail, landing the Crimson Tide's third transfer portal addition in December.

Alabama dipped into Texas for the second time with this addition, adding Texas A&M offensive lineman Naquil Betrand. Betrand has great size, standing at 6-foot-6, 342 pounds, and will have four years of eligibility remaining once he enrolls at the capstone.

A three-star offensive tackle out of Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Betrand committed to Texas A&M on August 6, 2023. After the season, Betrand entered the transfer portal on December 20 and committed to the Crimson Tide just 10 days later.

Alabama was in need of some depth on the offensive line with the likely departures of JC Latham, Seth McLaughlin, and potentially Darrian Dalcourt as well. Betrand could come in and push competition in the offensive line room.

Even though Alabama is preparing for Michigan in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2024, it doesn't mean Alabama can't recruit. The Crimson Tide have added Domani Jackson from USC and LT Overton, also from Texas A&M.
