Alabama junior left-handed pitcher Jon Keller was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. In his only appearance of the week, Keller threw a complete game against No. 9 Ole Miss on Sunday.

Making his seventh appearance and fourth start of the season, Keller threw a complete game as the Tide defeated ninth-ranked Ole Miss 3-1, completing the first sweep of the Rebels since 2006. Over the nine innings, he allowed one run on seven hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.

Keller set a career-high by throwing all nine innings, surpassing his previous career-high of seven innings. After allowing a run, three hits and a pair of walks through the first two innings, Keller blanked the Rebels over the final seven innings, which included seven strikeouts, on walk and four singles over that stretch.

Keller leads the Tide in innings pitched with 42 and with a 5-1 record he ranks third in the SEC in this season. After allowing one run on Sunday, he has a 1.50 ERA for the season. In his four starts, he’s 2-1 with a 1.71 ERA with 21 strikeouts and four walks in 26.1 innings.

Keller shared the weekly pitcher of the week award with Missouri’s Keaton Steele. South Carolina’s Grayson Greiner was this week’s player of the week and Georgia’s Robert Tyler was the conference freshman of the week.

The Crimson Tide returns to the diamond on Tuesday night with a game against the UL-Monroe Warhawks, with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT from Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
