The 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year continues to add to his impressive trophy case ahead of joining the Crimson Tide. After re-classifying to 2024, Williams will likely join Alabama over the summer following his final semester at Saraland High School.

Williams was Mr. Football in the state of Alabama following his sophomore campaign which saw him total 2,347 yards and 39 offensive touchdowns. He led Saraland to the AHSAA 6A State Title during that campaign.

Now, in 2024, for the first time in the 45-year history of the award, they have a back-to-back winner. Williams won the award again following the 2023 season, where he led Saraland to a second straight state championship appearance with 1,585 total yards and 26 total touchdowns this season.

Williams also won 6A Back of the Year, continuing to add to his trophy case after an impressive high school football career.

Those who have covered Williams during his time at Saraland have called him one of the most impressive players they've ever seen. One individual called him "the next Julio Jones," in terms of impact for Alabama football.

Williams may be finished with high school football, but his football career is only beginning. Williams is expected to compete for playing time early in an Alabama offense that is expected to be among one of the top passing offenses in the country with Kalen DeBoer. Williams is sure to rack up accolades at Alabama before his inevitable future in the NFL.
