DeBoer Set to Meet Tide Nation
It's been a tradition for many years that new Alabama football coaches get introduced to Tide Nation at the first home basketball game following their hires. And that was the plan for Kalen DeBoer and Tuesday's Alabama/Missouri contest.
Then came bad weather. That, along with DeBoer's busy schedule involving recruiting, retaining current players and signees, and hiring a staff combined to change the plan on when to introduce the new Tide football coach.
He will now meet Bama nation at half time of the Jan. 24 Auburn game. That game is expected to be a hard sellout, which is not the case Tuesday with the Mizzou contest.
The Auburn game tips at 6:30 p.m. CT, and like all Tide basketball games can be heard on Tide 100.9, 95.3 the Bear and 1230 AM WTBC.
Heading into this week's action, Alabama and Auburn are the only SEC teams to start 3-0 in league play.
