If you're keeping score at home, that's 16 new Tide players who will be on campus in the coming days to help the team prepare for Michigan. Last season, that numbe was six. While these players can practice, they cannot play against Michigan or, should Alabama beat the Wolverines, the Washington/Texas Sugar Bowl winner.

Some have asked about the availability to practice either now or in the spring for new class of '24 member Ryan Williams Jr. of Saraland. The dynamic wide receiver will not graduate high school until May, and will enroll at Alabama a few days after to start summer school, 7-on-7 workouts, and the strength and conditioning program in Tuscaloosa.
