Former Alabama Offensive Lineman Lands Coaching Job
Former Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor has landed a high school football coaching job.
The Mobile, Ala., native will become a varsity football coach at Alma Bryant High School in Irvington, Ala.
"Welcome former University of Alabama 2x National Champion, Alphonse Taylor, to the Hurricane Family," tweeted Alma Bryant Football.
The former national champion played five seasons at the Capstone from 2012-16.
Taylor is a former four-star recruit from the class of 2012. He ranked No. 267 nationally, No. 28 in offensive tackles, and No. 13 in the state of Ala., according to 247Sports Composite.
"Can’t wait to have Coach Taylor bring his knowledge and experiences to our student athletes," tweeted Alma Bryant High School's principal David Sprinkle.
Last season, the Hurricanes went 3-7 overall.
