Alabama will soon be hiring its second offensive coordinator in a month.

Newly-hired Crimson Tide OC Steve Sarkisian is headed to the NFL position to take the same position with the Atlanta Falcons. The team made it official on Twitter.

Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post broke the news on Tuesday morning.

Aaron Suttles, reporter for The Tuscaloosa News and host of The Suttles Report, also confirmed the news.

Sarkisian's career as the Crimson Tide's playcaller lasted all of one game and that was a national championship loss to Clemson. Nick Saban elevated Sarkisian from an offensive analyst after Lane Kiffin accepted the head coaching job at Florida Atlantic in December.

Kiffin was expected to stay in his role through the College Football Playoff, but the University of Alabama announced that both parties would move on after the win over Washington in the Peach Bowl.

Here's a look back at Sarkisian's first and only media appearance as the Alabama offensive coordinator.
