Alabama QB Trades Memorabilia
Half the battle of winning the Heisman Trophy is winning over the media circuit and doing enough media appearances to have your name in the public's minds. Stats still matter, but a player needs to have a good relationship with the media as well.
If that's the case, Jalen Milroe is hitting it out of the park for Alabama and will likely be in New York - again - for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
Is Milroe getting a lay of the land in New York early? On Wednesday, Milroe traded memorabilia with Yankees superstar Aaron Judge ahead of the Yankees game against the New York Mets. Milroe gave Judge a No. 99 Alabama jersey, and Judge gave Milroe one of his bats.
Milroe hopes to return to New York in five months for the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Milroe placed sixth for last year's Heisman Trophy - and is the highest-returning player from last season's Heisman Trophy race.
New Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer will look to tap into the potential of Jalen Milroe, who finished 2023 with 2,834 passing yards, 531 rushing yards, and 35 total touchdowns.
Alabama opens its season on Aug. 31 against Western Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. CT. You can listen to the game on Tide 100.9 and 95.3 the Bear - both have a free app to download.
