The Alabama Crimson Tide were clicking from behind the arc in their win against Alabama A&M, but it was the performance by freshman guard John Petty that stole the show.

30 of Alabama's 104 points, most points scored since 2005, Petty's 10 from behind the arc was the driving force of a high-powered offense being displayed in Tuscaloosa through the first three games of the season.

Petty is starting the season on a high-note averaging 18.3 points per game, second on the team behind fellow freshman guard Collin Sexton's 23.5 points. Petty's 10 threes are tied for fourth-most in a single game in SEC history and passing fellow teammate Riley Norris' eight 3-point school record. He was also one shy from the NCAA records books for threes in a single game by a freshman.

Digital Managing Editor Ben George and Brand Manager Marquis Munson bring you another episode of the Alabama Basketball Podcast as they recap Petty's 10 3-pointers against Alabama A&M, who will score more points this season, Petty or Sexton and is Petty a one-and-done player at Alabama, the also look ahead to UT-Arlington and Brooklyn this weekend.
