Bryce Young has broken Tua Tagovailoa's record for passing touchdowns in a single season at 44. Young entered the 86th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic tied with Tagovailoa's 2018 mark at 43. With his first passing touchdown of the contest to Slade Bolden, the 2021 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback now owns his second general passing record for the Crimson Tide.

At the time of the touchdown pass, Young is just 171 yards away from breaking Mac Jones's 2020 single-season passing yards record at 4,500 yards.

Young has since broken the single-season record for passing yards.

Throughout the 2021 season, Young put on a clinic getting the Crimson Tide into the endzone, throwing at least two touchdowns in every game. He also tied Mac Jones and Tagovailoa's marks for number of five-touchdown games in a single season at three, though only Tagoaviloa has ever thrown six in one game in Crimson Tide history.

Young became the first quarterback in Alabama history to win the Heisman Trophy after leading the Crimson Tide to a clutch victory over the Auburn Tigers and walloping the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship.
