The foundation for the success for Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide is due to the players Saban is able to recruit, the standard he has developed and the coaches he's brought up in the program.

But one coach and assistant coach was there in the beginning stages of Saban's tenure at Alabama and he knew his run as the head coach for the Crimson Tide was in the making from the start.
