Georgia’s Jonathan Ledbetter Says Bulldogs Defense Should Be Just as Good in 2018
The defending SEC champion Georgia Bulldogs finished last season with the disappointment of falling just short of a national championship, but don't expect that program to stay down for long.
The Bulldogs were on the clock at SEC Media Days on Tuesday and defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter had a chance to meet with reporters to discuss the overtime loss to Alabama.
"After a loss like that, coming down to the last second, you really just start to see that football is truly a game of inches," Ledbetter said. "Any given Saturday, something different can happen that can change the outcome of the game. You want to do your best to prepare to put your team in the best position to win the game. We are just taking it one day at a time, making sure every day is its own day. You just double those days up and continue to do it until you get the result you want."
Georgia will have to make up for a lot of lost talent that left for the NFL, but Ledbetter has seen the young players developing well on the defensive side of the ball.
"I feel like we have just as much talent as we did last year. Our leadership is starting to develop and I think feel like we're going on the up and up in the right direction."
