Alabama QB Record & Historic Shutout vs. ULM
"We're Back Baby!!!"
That's what a lot of Crimson Tide football fans are yelling after our dominating win over ULM at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Does this win REALLY matter?
Ahead of the game there was a lot of talk surrounding the team and the coaching staff. Wondering if the team was soft, if the coaching staff were capable of leading this team correctly and questions about the team's effort.
After losing the season opener by getting dominated by FSU, many said that Alabama was done. Even if we won the next game, it would be looked at as a game we were "supposed to win." Although I understand that sentiment, every win counts. Especially when it looked as good as the Tide did this last week.
There were some historic stats recorded by Alabama players from this year's game against ULM. Check them out below, according to Alabama Athletics.
The 73-0 score marks the the largest margin of victory in a shutout in program history, surpassing the previous best margin of 66-0 against Cal on Sept. 15, 1973
Three Alabama quarterbacks combined to throw seven touchdown passes, matching the school record set against Southern Miss on Nov. 11, 1950
Simpson's 17 consecutive completions is the second-most overall by an Alabama quarterback in program history, trailing only Mac Jones (19) in 2020

I'll take this win as a great confidence builder and chance to get better as a team. I/m full behind this year's team and coaching staff and can't wait for a great season.
