Expectations are high for the team this season as fourth year head coach Greg Putyrae was named the regional coach of the year by the CRCA and his staff was named the regional coaching staff of year.

The NCAA voted today to allow all-spring sport athletes an additional year of eligibility after their seasons were cut short due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Alabama softball, baseball, track and field, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and the Alabama women's crew teams will all be granted an extra year of eligibility.
