During his time at Alabama, Nick Saban has shown that if an Alabama commit follows the "Process," then they can eventually make it to the NFL. In fact, since he took over in 2007, the Crimson Tide has had 33 players drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Smith's name is all over the record book and his contributions to 2nd&26 will live forever. He will get more opportunities in the offense for the remainder of the season with Jaylen Waddle's unfortunate injury. He still has four more regular season games and the post season to make more big plays in big games and add to already impressive stat sheet and make the claim that he is the best receiver in Crimson Tide history.
There are 57 Crimson Tide players in the NFL for the 2020 opening week. With only 53 roster spots for any NFL team, Alabama could fill an entire NFL roster and half a practice squad with just it's alumni.
Former Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper turns 26-years old today. Cooper spent three seasons at The Capstone prior to being drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders in 2015. The receiver began a trend of high school wide receivers from the Miami area choosing to play football for the Crimson Tide.
