On Wednesday, the Big Ten Conference announced that they would be going forward with a shortened fall football season after months of back and forth arguing. The season will start on October 24 and will feature eight conference games in eight weeks.

It has been reported this week by several media outlets that the Big Ten is possibly eyeing a new start date of Oct. 10th to begin their fall football campaign. In a statement from the conference, the Big Ten is working hard to try to make fall football a possibility.

On Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump and Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren shared a phone call to discuss a timeline for the possible return of conference athletics in 2020.
