The San Francisco 49ers, unfortunately, lost quarterback Trey Lance for the rest of the season when the second-year player broke his ankle. Lance had to have surgery and the 49ers placed him on the Injured Reserve list.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is headed to the Bay Area after reportedly signing with the San Francisco 49ers.

Nick Saban joined The Dan Patrick Show, and the topic of the 49ers drafting Mac Jones of course came up. The buzz around the NFL recently was that Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch wanted Alabama quarterback Mac Jones after trading up the the 3rd pick in the draft. However, Saban states that he did not get asked about Jones by the 49ers at Alabama's pro day.

'Niners GM John Lynch and Head Coach Kyle Shanahan will be in attendance on Tuesday to watch Jones' workout, despite highly touted Ohio State QB Justin Fields' Pro Day being held at the same time.

Mac Jones threw last week at Alabama's Pro Day on March 23rd and will throw again tomorrow for Alabama's second Pro Day. This time 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch will be in attendance instead of Justin Fields session at Ohio State.
