The Crimson Tide will face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday, March 22.

Recent Crimson Tide transfer, Chadarius Townsend, announced this weekend his plans to play running back for his new school, Texas Tech. Townsend, a former wide receiver for Alabama, announced his entrance into the transfer portal on June 9th, and signed with Texas Tech June 19th.

After entering his name in the transfer portal last week, Chadarius Townsend has found his new home. Townsend announced today that he will be transferring to Texas Tech.

The Alabama men's basketball team opened its home slate with a 76-64 win over Texas Tech Thursday night in Coleman Coliseum. Senior guard Trevor Releford led the Crimson Tide with 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting.
