Tuscaloosa Academy picked up a big regional win on Friday night.

On homecoming night, the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights sent their fans home with a win over the Greene County Tigers.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, multiple high school football games have been pushed up this week.

It was a special moment for the Knights and Barry Sanderson Wednesday evening.

The Tuscaloosa Academy Knights (7-4, 5-0) defeated the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors (8-3, 3-2), 26-13, in the semifinals of the AISA 3A playoffs.

Tuscaloosa Academy Knights defeat Valiant Cross Warriors 31-6 in the first round of the AISA playoffs.

The Tuscaloosa Academy Knights (4-4, 4-0) defeated the Morgan Academy Senators (4-4, 2-2) on homecoming 17-7 to win the AISA 3A Region 2. The Knights defense held strong throughout the evening only allowing one touchdown and holding the Senators to just 1-for-6 on fourth down.
