Alabama's redshirt junior defensive lineman is a candidate for a breakout season in Tuscaloosa in 2024. However, it's his off-the-field work that's caused him to be added to the watchlist of college football's premier award for community service.

Tim Keenan III has been named to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watchlist for the 2024 college football season.

According to 247 Sports, the Birmingham native was a four-star prospect at Ramsay High School. Keenan III was ranked 69th nationally and 22nd in Alabama.

Over his high school career, Keenan III recorded 111 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, and 16 sacks.

Keenan III had offers from universities such as Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas A&M, and Oregon.

Since 2022, Keenan III has played 16 games and recorded 17 tackles and one sack for the Crimson Tide.

Named after Flordia Gator Danny Wuerffel, the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy was established in 2005 to honor college football players who serve others, celebrate their impact, and inspire greater community service worldwide.

Other notable players on the Allstate Wuerffel Watchlist include Arizona Quarterback Noah Fifita, Florida quarterback Graham Mertz, Georgia safety Malaki Starks, LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell, Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman, and USC wide receiver Zachariah Branch.

The only Alabama player to win the trophy was Barrett Jones in 2011.

Alabama players to be nominated for this trophy included Mac Jones (2020), Ryan Kelly (2015), and Javier Arenas (2009).
