A-Day Full of Celebrations
The 2021 Golden Flake A-Day Game is an event that fans do not want to miss. Kick-off is set for Saturday, April 17, at Bryant-Denny Stadium at noon.
Once the game concludes, the 2020 College Football Playoff and SEC Champions. will be honored at midfield. Head coach Nick Saban and quarterback Mac Jones will take the field to address the crowd and the 2020 national championship flag will be raised.
During the first quarter break, DeVonta Smith will be presented with the Maxwell Award. During halftime, he will be presented with the university’s copy of the Heisman Trophy.
Allowing fans to remember this iconic day, 10,000 Alabama football posters for the A-Day Game will be printed. 5,000 will be available when gates open and another 5,000 national championship celebration posters will be ready for fans as they exit after the conclusion of the celebration.
General admission public tickets are being offered at $5. They can be purchased by calling the Athletic Ticket/TICKET PRIDE office at 205-348-2262 or by visiting RollTide.com.
The stadium capacity is set for 50% and the gates for the A-Day Game will open at 10 a.m. CT. Although the mask mandate has been lifted, facial coverings will be required for entry into the stadium and are to be worn at all times except when eating or drinking.
This will be the 14th A-Day Game under the direction of seven-time national championship coach Nick Saban, who begins his 15th season at the helm of the Crimson Tide program.
To continue the infamous tradition, the annual Walk of Fame Ceremony will take place at Denny Chimes. Coach Saban along with the 2019 and 2020 captains will address the crowd. The captains will then leave prints of their hands and cleats in the concrete as they join a hefty list of Crimson Tide greats.
Arriving at Bryant-Denny Stadium, the team will hold its Walk of Champions. Wrapping up the eventful day, Coach Saban will present the spring awards to the team at midfield.
To continue a day full of champions, the Alabama baseball team will take on Auburn at 4 p.m. at Sewell-Thomas Stadium to conclude a three-game series that begins on Thursday. The Crimson Tide softball team will host the Florida Gators at Rhoads Stadium beginning Friday, April 16, for a three-game series.
