The University of Alabama just got a major upgrade when it comes to its golf program, recently unveiling a $47 million facility.

The brand-new facility is located on Jack Warner Parkway, only around a mile away from the campus and the dorms.

The brand-new indoor facility is 18,000 square feet and contains several different facilities for the players to work out and improve their swing with new technology. The building also is the new home to all offices for the Alabama Crimson Tide golf coaching staff.

On the outdoor side of things, the Alabama men’s and women’s teams will have access to a new 9-hole course, as well as a green to improve short-game and putting. Indoors, the men and women will have the luxury of their own lounges and locker rooms, swing technology, and much more.

University of Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne commented on the new facility, saying, “I think it’s making a difference not only for our athletes but also for recruiting. It has opened a lot of doors for us. I have a few friends in the college golf world who say our facility is the talk of college golf.”
