Alabama Men’s Basketball Suffers 71-53 Loss to Florida at Home
The Alabama men's basketball team fell to the Florida Gators, 71-53, in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. The loss marks only the third at home for the Crimson Tide (15-10, 6-6 SEC) on the season.
Freshman Kira Lewis Jr. led all Alabama players with 14 points. Senior Donta Hall had 10 points and collected seven rebounds on the day. Sophomore John Petty Jr. added 10 points coming off the bench.
Florida (14-11, 6-6) led the entire contest with their biggest lead stretching to 18 points. Freshman Andrew Nembhard led all scorers in the game with 21 points.
Alabama will travel to College Station, Texas to take on Texas A&M on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled to tipoff at 8 p.m. CT and will be televised on SEC Network.
