Alabama spent Tuesday’s workout inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility after some afternoon showers in Tuscaloosa. It was the Crimson Tide’s final practice before the start of the school’s fall semester on Wednesday. The team wore full pads.

- As expected, quarterback Jake Coker (foot) did not participate in passing drills for the second straight day due to a “minor” foot injury. Instead, Coker worked off to the side with head trainer Jeff Allen. During the media viewing periods, Coker walked up and down the sideline a few times with Allen, and also did some light drills with a medicine ball.

Coker was not seen on the practice field during the media viewing period in either of the Crimson Tide’s practices during its final two-a-day Monday.

“Jake Coker has a minor foot injury that we think will keep him out of practice for several days,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said in a statement between the two practices Monday. “Our physicians anticipate a full recovery.”

- With Coker out, Alec Morris and David Cornwell split time leading the quarterbacks. Cooper Bateman was behind Morris on one side, with Blake Barnett coming right after Cornwell on the other when they were broken up into pairs.

- Running back Kenyan Drake (hamstring) worked out with the running backs but was second-to-last in line, ahead of only Bo Scarbrough, who continues to wear a black, non-contact jersey as he returns to full strength from a knee injury. Drake has been limited in the last few practices because of his injury.

- Derrick Henry led the running backs in drills, with Damien Harris, Xavian Marks, Ronnie Clark, Derrick Gore, Drake and Scarbrough falling in behind him in that order.

- Wide receiver Robert Foster did not wear a brace on his injured knee that has limited in recent practices. Instead of leading his line of receivers during receiving drills, though, as he usually does, he was at the back of the line.

- Wide receiver Chris Black (ankle) did not appear too limited during pass-catching drills, either, but was still limited.

- The secondary, working on what looked to be its dime formation, saw the following: Cyrus Jones and Marlon Humphrey at corner, Geno Matias-Smith and Eddie Jackson at safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick at Star, Maurice Smith at Money and Reuben Foster at linebacker.

Saban and selected players are not scheduled to meet with the media Tuesday, though they are Wednesday evening. Alabama will practice ahead of its media obligations at 3:30 p.m.
