Another Crimson Tide wide receiver has entered the transfer portal. According to AL.com's Matt Zenitz, Chadarius Townsend, has decided to enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot redshirt junior receiver has spent time at receiver and running back during his time in Tuscaloosa.

Townsend has played in 19 games, he has eight carries for 22 yards during his Crimson Tide career. His carries have come against Southern Miss and Western Carolina in 2019.

Townsend was a four-star athlete out of Tanner High School in the class of 2017. He was ranked the seventh overall prospect in the state. Townsend chose the Crimson Tide over several other SEC schools such as Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State and others.

Townsend indicates through Twitter that he will spend his remaining eligibility "elsewhere".

Despite the departure, Crimson Tide is loaded at wide receiver and running back heading into the 2020.
