Many people like to joke that Alabama head coach Nick Saban would be a shoe in for governor should he ever decide to run because of the success he had in football, but a similar scenario almost came to fruition.

Tommy Tuberville, the successful Auburn head coach from 1999-2008. had been mentioned as a potential candidate in the 2018 Alabama gubernatorial election, but the campaign appears to be over before it started.

Whether he gives up on his political aspirations or not, Tuberville joined The Game on Monday to discuss that topic and what makes him interested in the possibility of running for governor. He and host Ryan Fowler also talked about how he would convince Alabama fans (remember 'Fear the Thumb') to vote for him. They also talked football, which is the lifeblood of the state.
