Former Alabama standout and NFL veteran Reggie Ragland has yet another new team to add to the list throughout his seven year NFL career. The linebacker is signing with the Cleveland Browns after Browns' linebacker Sione Takitaki suffered a season-ending injury in Cleveland’s 27-14 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Ragland has built up his NFL resume after being drafted 41st overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2016. He spent the 2016 season with the Bills, but never got called up from the practice squad.

Ragland was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017 where he made his NFL debut on Oct. 2. He started his first playoff game in Jan. 2018 where he collected nine tackles in a 22-21 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Ragland helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 31-20 in 2019. Ragland later signed with the Detroit Lions in April 2020, then spent the 2021 season with the New York Giants.

The Huntsville, Ala. native was finally signed this season by the Raiders on Nov. 10 to its practice squad. One month later, the Alabama star now finds himself as the starting linebacker for a struggling Cleveland Browns team.

In four seasons at Alabama, Ragland played on two national championship teams and earned the SEC Defensive Player of the Year Award and unanimous All-American recognition in 2015.

Ragland looks to improve a Cleveland team that has been searching for answers as it heads to Cincinnati to face a tough opponent in the Bengals on Sunday.
