In Tuscaloosa, no matter what season it is, the focus almost always is and probably always will be on football. The University of Alabama is a football school through and through and you won't find many people who would disagree with that.

In 2020, however, Alabama is having success across the board in both men's and women's athletics. Alabama is currently nationally ranked in ELEVEN different sports.

The men's basketball team is enjoying their most successful start in decades. After defeating Kentucky last night, Nate Oates' squad has now won 10 games in a row and has started 9-0 in SEC play. They will look to continue this hot streak on Saturday afternoon, with a non-conference road matchup against Oklahoma.

Another team that performs in the confines of Coleman Coliseum, Alabama women's gymnastics is off to a hot start as well. The team has started off 3-0 with wins over Kentucky, Missouri, and most recently an Iron Bowl gymnastics victory over Auburn last Friday. They are currently ranked No. 8 in the country.

A perennial powerhouse coached by Patrick Murphy in the Alabama softball team has been ranked No. 8 in the preseason polls, with Brad Bohanon's baseball team ranked No. 25 in their preseason rankings.

Women's golf and women's swimming and diving are also both currently ranked No. 11 in the country, while both the men's golf team and the men's swimming and diving team are both currently ranked No. 16 in the country.

The Crimson Tide is also enjoying success in track and field, with both the men's and women's teams ranked in the preseason top 10.

The University of Alabama will look to continue its domination on all fields as the spring seasons both continue and get underway.
