Demopolis Tigers Handle Northside Rams to Win Region
The Northside Rams hosting the Demopolis Tigers tonight for their last home game of the season. This game was also senior night as well as a chance to be No. 1 in the region for the Rams.
Northside played a hard game despite the 34-20 loss to the Tigers, holding the score at just 13-7 by the end of the first half.
During the second quarter, Demopolis was able to strike first on 1 and 10 with the ball on the 15; Demopolis running back No. 8 Keishawn Rowser for a 15-yard touchdown rush.

JJ Case was the target on special teams tonight, fielding most kickoffs for the Rams. Case was able to bring the ball to the 33-yard line for the Rams' next offensive drive.
The Rams opened this drive with a run by sophomore running back No. 24 Bennet Green who gained two yards on the play. Demopolis easily shut down Northside’s run game tonight, something that the Rams have been heavily known to be almost perfect at over the last 10-15 years.
The Tigers' defense struggled to stop the Northside receivers this game as No. 3 Austin Kightlinger, No. 6 Ethan Mcateer, No. 1 JJ Case, and No. 12 Evan Taylor were able to get open for some crucial catches to put the Rams in position to score.
A brief injury to Northside quarterback No. 15 Jackson Rhodes led the Rams to putting wide receiver and defensive back, Evan Taylor in as the QB. Taylor, who has experience at the quarterback position in his younger playing days throws an interception after swiftly evading a pursuing Tigers defensive line. The interception was called back after a roughing the passer penalty was called on Demopolis.
The Tigers go on to beat Northside, Keishawn Rowser with five touchdowns this game against the Rams being absolutely dominant against an equally dominant defense.
The Tigers keep their number 1 spot in 5A Region 3, with a guaranteed to host a first-round playoff game while the Rams will be on the road in week 1 of the AHSAA playoffs.
It has been an incredible season for the Rams so far with Coach Robby Jones at the helm. The Northside Rams play ACA next week at ACA; kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. next Friday, November 1st.
