Finch Named Interim Sports Information Director For Stillman
Stillman College is making some moves in its Athletic department. Nicholas J. Finch was appointed the role of interim director of sports information. This announcement comes as of Monday, January 6, 2025.
Finch is not a new face to the Stillman College campus, as he has served as the athletic department coordinator for compliance, facilities, and game day operations since September of 2022.
Chris Megginson, the previous sports information director, assumed the position of director of strategic communications in October 2024.
Finch is a graduate of the University of West Alabama, class of 2013. With a degree in integrated marketing communications, being an Alabama native, and having other accomplishments in sports media, Stillman College seems to be happy with the decision to appoint Finch.
Finch has spent time as a reporter at the Demopolis Times and Blackbelt Gazette, as well as working as an editor at The Choctaw Sun Advocate. He has also won many awards for his work.
In 2017, Finch returned to his Alma Mater to work as the Assistant sports information director, overseeing several sports as their main contact for media.
Finch is now a part of the Stillman College family, and a resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who hosts the number 2 ranked podcast in Alabama.
Terrance Whittle the Athletic Director at Stillman College was very pleased that Mr.Finch accepted the position as well as adding, “I look forward to Mr. Finch using his skills and talents to help continue the work of moving our athletics media platform to being one of the top college sports media platforms in the NAIA.”
