The El Paso Chihuahuas' post-game fireworks show didn't quite go as planned Thursday night.

Cell phone video taken by a spectator an uploaded to Youtube shows what appears to be a launching apparatus tipping over and sending several balls of fire in the direction of the crowd that had gathered by left field on the Peter Piper Porch before being shut off.

Although the mishap, which was described by Chihuahuas Marketing and Communication Director Angela Olivas as “a fireworks shell malfunction,” scared many onlookers, no one was seriously injured. According to published reports, one person was treated for minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.

An official cause for the failure has not been released.
