It has been widely speculated across the college football world, but according to a recent report, former Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has Florida State as his top school that he would be willing to transfer to.

According to Noles247.com, the Seminoles' replacement for former Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston next season would most likely be Golson, should he decide to move to Tallahassee to finish up his collegiate football career.

It was assumed that next season, the Seminoles would be led by incoming junior Sean Maguire. He only saw significant playing time against the Clemson Tigers last season, as Winston was suspended due to his incident involving jumping onto a table in the Florida State student center and blurting out obscenities.

Golson would be a solid get for head coach Jimbo Fisher and his squad, as they'll most likely need as much senior leadership as possible next year, with 11 players drafted in the NFL Draft two weekends ago.

Adding a dual threat quarterback in the mix would all but guarantee yet another ACC championship for the Seminoles, what with the talent and coaching staff currently there, and would definitely give them the ability to make another appearance in the College Football Playoff.
