One of the members of Alabama's legendary 1992 defense has passed away.

Defensive lineman Jeremy Nunley, who played a big role on one of the best defensive fronts in the country during the national championship season, died at the age of 46. Mark McMillian, a teammate of his at Alabama, posted a message to Twitter on Tuesday morning.

Nunley spent five season in Tuscaloosa after arriving in 1989 from Winchester, Tennessee. His productive career led to the Houston Oilers selecting him in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft.

He is survived by his wife Marti, who was an Alabama gymnast, and two daughters.
