His morning began with a delayed announcement at his school, but it appears four-star defensive end Jarez Parks will end up at Alabama.

Parks, a 6-foot-2, 275-pound prospect, was set to make his college choice known but made an emotional decision to hold off on signing. There wasn't an explanation for it at the time, but Parks has since committed to Alabama.

He first made his intention known in this Facebook Live video and later tweeted out this Bleacher Report commitment video.

But as of the early afternoon, Parks still hasn't signed his letter of intent so his future is still up in the air. Andrew Bone of Tidesports.com shared this update.

If true, that means Alabama recruiting has reached a point where it can delay the enrollment of a four-star, top 100 All-American because it doesn't have room in the current class. That tells you all you need to know about the state of Alabama football.

We'll update this story as more information comes out about Parks' college destination.
