Once upon a time Les Miles said 5 star quarterback Gunner Kiel didn’t have the “chest” to be an LSU Tiger, but on Tuesday Kiel revealed through ESPN’s Joe Schad that he may be looking to show that he has the “chest” to play in the Southeastern Conference.

Schad reported in a tweet that Kiel is considering Cincinnati, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Northern Illinois, Miami(Ohio), and Ball State.

During his recruitment out of high school, he was heavily recruited by the University of Alabama.

Kiel, a talented 6-foot-4 inch 210lb quarterback was considered to be the top quarterback coming out of high school two years ago.  After first committing to Indiana University, Kiel decomitted, later pledging to Miles and LSU.

Then just days before he was to arrive in Baton Rouge, Kiel again decommitted, this time in favor of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. However, with the emergence of Everett Golson, a redshirt freshman,Kiel saw the writing on the wall and decided to transfer after sitting out his first season as a redshirt.

So what do you think? Where do you think he’ll end up? Does Kiel have what it takes to play in the SEC? If you flash forward to the 1:40 mark in the video, you can find out what Les Miles has to say…
