Hillcrest Finishes Season with Road Victory
Hillcrest played their last game of the 2024 season tonight beating Oak Mountain 50-36 on the road. Hillcrest came into this game with 5 wins and four losses on the regular season while Oak Mountain has three wins and five losses on the season.

Hillcrest quarterback Bryson Kimbrough, the University of Louisiana-Monroe commit is set to graduate this year, as well as senior receiver Jordan Chambers-Smith, leaving the sophomore Jordan Shambley as the prospected QB1 for his junior year.
Hillcrest put up a positive win/loss record of 6-4 their first season playing in 7A which is a great milestone for the Patriots. Head coach Jamie Mitchell has been a consistent factor in the Patriots success as well other coaching staff at Hillcrest high school.
The Patriots have a lot of potential in the upcoming season as a lot of young players that showed out this season will be returning, as well as some key starters on the offensive side of the ball.
Defensively, the Patriots have #1 Zay Hall, who is a junior at the middle linebacker position who may return next season.
Junior wide receiver Kahden Smith who put up 685 yards before this game last game would still put Hillcrest in a good spot with his return next year.
Star running back, sophomore #2 Christian Richey who put up 977 yards before tonight’s game would be a big factor for this Patriots offense with his return in the 2025 season as well as the number two back in freshman #4 Jacobi Harris, who rushed for 713 yards before tonight’s game.
Many other young players are returning that will help this Hillcrest Patriots team continue to succeed in the future.
