Justin Bieber Takes ‘Hook ‘Em’ Picture with Texas coach Rick Barnes

I'm guilty. I admit it. I thought Texas had put the worst behind them. Boy was I wrong.

Like me, you probably assumed the Longhorns reached a low point a few months ago when boosters and fans tried to replace head football Mack Brown with Nick Saban before there was even a vacancy in the football building.

Nope.

Monday, the Longhorn Network shared a picture of basketball coach Rick Barnes posing with pop singer Justin Bieber with both flashing a 'Hook 'Em' sign. The trouble-making Canadian surprised fans at SXSW with a performance alongside girlfriend Selena Gomez.

We all know Bieber loves attending big time sporting events and hanging out with athletes, but this might be the first time we've seen him associated with a college football team. So that settles it: he's all yours Texas.

It's too bad Vince Young wasn't around to defend the sacred symbol.
