Kickoff Time Will Start Late Afternoon Against SEC Foe
For Week 6, The Crimson Tide will look to do battle with a familiar foe as the set time was announced today.
On October 5th, Alabama will head to Nashville as they face Vanderbilt at 3:15 P.M. CT
So far this season, Alabama is undefeated with wins against Western Kentucky, South Florida, and Wisconsin. Of those games, Alabama's offense has averaged 49 points, scored 21 touchdowns, and 52.5 percent on third down. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has completed 35 of 52 attempts for 590 passing yards and eight touchdowns. Running back Jam Miller has 29 carries for 264 yards, averaging nine yards per carry.
This season, Alabama's defense ranks 6th in opponents' points per game (8.7). They also ranked 1st in opponents' third-down conversions percentage (16.0). Linebacker Jihaad Campbell is the leader in total tackles with 28 (18 solo and 10 assisted). Defensive back Keon Sabb leads the defense with two interceptions. Linebacker Que Robinson leads the defense with three total sacks.
Alabama's history with Vanderbilt is a lopsided SEC rivalry.
The last meeting between the two programs was on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide pulled the victory 55-3. Quarterback Bryce Young recorded season highs of 385 passing yards on 25-of-36 through the air. Wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks had a career-best 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 6 catches. Linebacker Will Anderson Jr. recorded three tackles for loss with two and a half sacks. Linebacker Henry To'oTo'o had 6 tackles with a tackle for loss.
At that point in time, Vanderbilt rushed for 14 total yards, which is the fewest Alabama has held an opponent since giving up -1 rushing yards to Mississippi State in 2021. The Crimson Tide's 499-yard differential in total offense was the fifth largest in Alabama history.
Alabama holds a 63-18-2 all-time record against Vanderbilt, with a 32-5-2 record at home and 29-13-2 in Nashville. Vanderbilt has lost the last 10 matchups, and Alabama has won 23 consecutive games in the series since 1985. This will be their first meeting since 2017
