Former All-American Mike Johnson Weighs in on Alabama’s Coaching Changes
Coaching turnover has been a constant theme of the Nick Saban era in Tuscaloosa as assistants have frequently moved on to better positions, but this offseason feels a bit different.
Not only did Alabama lose its offensive and defensive coordinators but it also had to replace some three other assistants. Plus, the school announced that longtime running backs coach Burton Burns would be taking an off-field position with the program. There will be many new faces on the practice field when spring camp begins in March.
To get some insight into the changes happening at Alabama, Gary Harris caught up with former All-American Mike Johnson to hear what he thinks about all of the moves. Johnson played under Saban and follows college football closely as an analyst for SEC Country.
