
Nate Oats After Alabama Loss To Ole Miss
The Alabama Crimson Tide lose their win streak tonight with a loss to the Ole Miss Rebels. This was game 17 for the Alabama Crimson Tide who came into this game with a 14-2 record. The Rebels were able to put the game away late in the second half when they gained a 10-point lead over the Crimson Tide. The ending score was Ole Miss 74, Alabama 64.

Alabama players #15 Jarren Stevenson and #2 Aden Holloway joined the media in the media room for the post-game press conference. Following a struggle from the free throw line tonight for the Crimson Tide, media ask the players about their mentality following a struggle from normally efficient free throw shooters.
Grant Nelson also had his share of struggles from the line which Holloway spoke on how to pick his teammate up after a game like tonight. Holloway answered, "Just keep going to the gym, keep shooting them, everybody on the team, every single day, come and put in work and getting better." He continues with, "we have a lot of faith in him (Nelson), great player, great free throw shooter, keep working, going to the gym every day and keep shooting."
In the post-game press conference Oats started off his opening statement by saying “Not one of our better showings…” Oats was highly upset at the outcome of this game saying “I have to do a better job of making sure guys are ready to go” he continued in the statement reiterating “We didn’t have our guys ready to go…” when speaking on playing against this Ole Miss defense.
Alabama struggled to grab offense rebounds against Ole Miss, with Nate Oats stating," The most disappointing thing tonight was the lack of effort on the offensive glass.”
Responding to a question about what the concerns should be about this team following tonight coach Oats says, "I think we should all be pretty concerned to be honest…we’re not shooting the ball well and part of that is we aren’t getting good shots.”
Alabama's next game is against the Kentucky Wildcats in Rupp Arena. Tip-off is set for 11 A.M. Saturday Jan 18, 2025.
