Packers Drown Dolphins with Strong Finish and Key Plays
Former Alabama Crimson Tide players Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Jacobs did all they could against each other in this Packers Vs. Dolphins game, but Jacobs and the Packers end victorious with a 30-17 win over Tagovailoa and the Dolphins.
Tua Tagovailoa has been playing solid since returning from injury in week eight against the Arizona Cardinals. He was named AFC Player of the Week following Sunday’s 34-15 win over the New England Patriots. The 26-year-old quarterback completed 37 of 46 passes for 365 yards and two touchdowns. Tua was able to get his first touchdown pass in the second quarter; after a 14-yard pass to De'Von Achane to make the score 27 to 9, Tua hit Jaylen Waddle for the two-point conversion.
For the Packers, Josh Jacobs had 43 rushing yards on 19 carries with one touchdown at the end of the first quarter to put Green Bay up by two scores.
Green Bay was able to seal the deal and enjoy the Turkey platter on live television. Josh Jacobs who is just under 1,000 yards for the season (944 yards) has had five straight games of having 100+ scrimmage yards, the longest streak for the Packers since another former Alabama running back, Eddie Lacy was with the Packers. Lacy had nine straight games of 100+ scrimmage yards during that season, and it looks like Jacobs is on his way to catching up.
Thursday's win moves the Packers to 9-3, while the Dolphins fall to 5-7.
