Patriots Take Down The Wildcats

The Hillcrest Patriots take home a win tonight against the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats in the game of the week for this week.

Bryson Kimbrough is finding his groove and making things happen for the Patriots early in the game as he takes the ball down the sideline during the first quarter for a touchdown headed by a great run from the sophomore running back number two Christian Richey.

The Wildcats didn’t have an answer for this Hillcrest team as they continued to push the ball downfield.
Tuscaloosa County was able to get a score to make it 7-14 during the first quarter. What looked like maybe a good game turned into a run-a-way score leaving Hillcrest to win the game 42-21.

A very good shift in momentum for the Patriots as they now hold a two-game win streak after tonight's win against the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats.

Hillcrest is now 4-3 on the season, and 2-3 in region 3 of 7A football. Hillcrest will have to take on a 4-2 Thompson team that lost to Clay-Chalkville last week with a score of 13-14.

Hillcrest has an opportunity to win out the rest of the season with their last three games being Thompson, Prattville, and Oak Mountain. Hillcrest will play at home next week before ending their regular season with two road games. We hope to see Hillcrest get it done for the rest of the season to hopefully keep the playoff hopes alive.
