He's as cold as ice, and not willing to sacrifice any touchdowns on defense.

Ahead of its week 5 matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers, Alabama Football released their weekly Bama Factor video that highlights a specific player on the roster.

This week the player chosen for the video was cornerback, Patrick Surtain II.

The video features Surtain soaking in an ice bath post practice, where the narrator talks about being isolated as a member of the secondary.

"Being isolated against your fastest opponents is far from a vacation, it can be the coldest postion on the field."

What makes the video even more unique, is that it's narrated by Patrick Surtain's father Patrick Sr.

Surtain Sr. a three-time Pro Bowl CB himself, spent the majority of his career as a member of the Miami Dolphins and knows a thing or two about locking down opposing wide receivers.

“I always end it with this,” the older Surtain said. “‘Win, lose or draw, just know that we’re here for you, we’re your No. 1 fans, and we love you.’”, Surtain Sr. told Tsoukalas.

His son, Surtain II has been one of the few bright spots on the Alabama defense to start the season.

Surtain Jr. has  played lights out ball and shut down each team's number one playmaker, since stepping up as a true freshman back in 2018.

High praise was given to Jr. to start the year, and many draft analysts had him pegged as the top cornerback in the country. Second only to fellow SEC player Derek Stingley, who won't be draft eligible till next year.

If the Crimson Tide expect to win a national championship this year, Surtain II will have to continue to play at an elite level.
