Keith Carpenter, the assistant chief of the Northport Police Department, told the Tuscaloosa Thread that his officers arrested a Stephen Thomas Golding around 1 a.m. and charged him with driving under the influence.

The name matches salary information for Bama's Golding listed on opengovpay.com and other public record sites.

Golding remained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail at 9:30 Thursday morning, where his bond is set at $500. His mugshot was not immediately available.

Inmates in the county jail must register a blood alcohol level lower than .03 before they are allowed to be released on bond following an alcohol related arrest.
