A-Day 2021 was a welcome return for Bama football. After the cancelation of last season's spring game, fans were expectantly eager to return to Bryant-Denny Stadium and cheer on the Crimson Tide.

This year, fans watched the traditional Captain's ceremony honor Bama's Captains from both the 2019 and 2020 seasons and cement their hands and cleat prints in front of Denny Chimes, with the exception of Tua Tagovailoa, who was unable to attend Saturday. Alabama play-by-play radio broadcaster Eli Gold, who was presenting the honors, promised the star quarterback would have his hand and footprint imprinted at a later date.

Representing the 2019 team was linebacker Anfernee Jennings, defensive back Xavier McKinney and receiver DeVonta Smith. For the 2020 team, fans cheered on quarterback Mac Jones, offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood and Landon Dickerson.

From there, fans hurried to greet the 2021 team at the Walk of Champions before entering the stadium, which welcomed almost 50,000 fans Saturday.
