Rodney Orr of TiderInsider.com joined The Gary Harris Show this morning to talk about his experience around Dennis Franchione, Tennessee's recruiting and the Crimson Tide recruiting. You can hear the entire interview on the Tide 100.9 Soundcloud or Tide 100.9 Youtube.

Orr talked about his experience covering the departure of Franchione and his last days in Tuscaloosa as head coach. He and Harris discussed the numerous times that Franchione denied intentions of leaving the Crimson Tide and what ultimately led him to make the decision to leave. The two discussed how his departure affected the program and the difference between Franchione and Nick Saban.

Orr and Harris discussed the passing of legendary Dolphins football coach Don Shula. Orr admitted to be a big Dolphins fan as a kid because he was anti-Cowboys. They talked about how Shula adapted his style to his players and how strong he was as a coach.

Orr went on to talk about Tennessee's current recruiting hot-streak and attributed it to the coaching staff being aggressive during the COVID-19 dead period of recruiting.

He finished up his interview by highlighting several positions of need for the Crimson Tide in the current 2021 Recruiting class, in particular offensive tackle.
