After just one season, the Pittsburgh Steelers have released linebacker Mark Barron, a former safety for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Barron signed a 2-year $12M deal with Pittsburgh last offseason. He saw action in 15 games, starting in nine. Barron tallied 82 total tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception.

Since being drafted 7th-overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012, Barron has had a rocky, yet respectable career. Barron moved to linebacker when he was traded to the then-St.Louis Rams.

Barron shouldn't have much of an issue landing with another team for the 2020 season. Over his eight-year career, Barron has racked up over 700 tackles and nine interceptions.
