There's a lot to catch up from over the weekend, so here's what you need to know at midday Monday:

• Dan Meador, former dean of The University of Alabama law school, died Saturday. Meador, 86, served as dean from 1966-70.
• The 9th-ranked Alabama women's tennis team grinded out a 4-3 victory over 11th-ranked Texas at the ITA Team Indoor Championships on Sunday.
• The 6th-ranked Alabama women's golf team began 2013 competition at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The team shot 5-over-par in round one Sunday, which places it tied for second and two shots back of leader Arkansas.
• Head coach Nick Saban and staff will be looking for a replacement for D.J. Fluker at right tackle next fall. Tuscaloosa News' Chase Goodbread writes that junior college transfer Leon Brown expects to compete for that spot.
• Alabama, Stanford, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Oregon make up Chris Low's top 5 heading into the 2013 college football season.
