In a surprising move, the Cleveland Browns have traded running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts in return for a first-round draft pick in 2014.

Richardson had just began his second season in Cleveland after being the selected third overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. Richardson had rushed for 105 yards on 31 carries in the first two games of the 2013 season.

The move greatly benefits the former Alabama running back. He leaves a team that will be starting its third-string quarterback Brian Hoyer in place of the injured Brandon Weeden this week. He'll now join a team with playoff aspirations and one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, Andrew Luck.
