Former Alabama and current Miami Dolphins quarterback had a rough first day of 2021 minicamp but the second year quarterback bounced back in style on day two. Tagovailoa reportedly threw six touchdowns without any interceptions on the second after throwing five on the first day of practice.

"I think practice is a time, not just at the quarterback position but at every position, you test the waters and see what works and what doesn't work so that you can go back and learn from it, make adjustments and try to improve," said Dolphins head coach Brian Flores. "I think its the same at the quarterback position. We're going to see if we can fit some throws in and then there might be a minor adjustment that we need to make to make the play. How do you know that if you don't make the attempt?"

Tagovailoa reportedly made the adjustments on day two and was dialed in at practice and was assisted by much better weather. The Hawaiian seemed to have much better rapport with his receivers completing long passes to new teammates Will Fuller V and former Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

As a rookie the Hawaiian passed for 1814 yards with 11 touchdowns and just five interceptions in 10 games. The Dolphins finished 20th in the NFL last season in passing offenses and is expected to pick up its production due to improvements on the offensive line and the receiving core.

The Miami Dolphins open up the season in Foxboro, MA where they will take on the New England Patriots in a division rivalry game on Sept. 12, 2021.
